LYS Player Placement
We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 Seasons! All players who are interested or planning on playing with LYS U8-U10 Developmental teams or U11 & up Competitive teams in the 2026-2027 Season need to register for our Intent to Play, linked below.
US Soccer is adjusting their age group divisions from a calendar year (January 1st – December 31st) to a school year-based calendar (August 1st – July 31st) for the 2026-2027 season. If you have questions or are interested in learning more, please read our comprehensive update about the division changes.

All Players (New & Returning LYS Players) are REQUIRED to attend player placement sessions.
Player placement sessions for U8 – U10 players will take place the week of May 5th.
Player placement sessions for U11 and up players will take place the week of May 11th.

LYS is able to place players on Developmental and Competitive teams in the vast majority of cases. Occasionally though there is not an appropriate team available, or placement with a recreational team makes sense, or there can be other circumstances that can impact our ability to place players.
