LYS Competitive

About LYS Competitive Teams
The LYS Competitive Program is for U11 – U19 kids based on their birth year. This is different from the Recreational Leagues which are based on Grade Year. Competitive Players traditionally do not play in the Saturday Recreational League but exceptions can be made.

LYS Competitive Characteristics

• Teams will play in OYSA Competitive Leagues against teams such as PCY, FC Portland, United PDX, etc. LYS Academies have the potential to have teams at all levels, depending on participation.
• While the majority of games will be in the greater Portland metro area, families should expect to travel for one to three games per season to places like Eugene, Bend, and Medford.
• Teams will have 2 practices a week while in season with games on the weekends. 
• Virtual Sunrise Skills & Strength, a 20-minute daily zoom session led by LYS Director of Coaching, is available to all competitive players for free
• Access to additional LYS Camps and Classes 

U11-U14 Competitive

• U11-U14 Teams will participate in a Fall and Spring season
• Access to additional LYS Camps and Classes
• Cost of the program for the U11-U14 Fall & Spring Season: $745

U15 & Up Competitive

• U15 & up Teams will participate in a Winter season. U15 Teams have the option to participate in a Fall season as well (additional fee applies). 
• Players will have the option to participate in the summer and winter High School Performance Academies (20 sessions in the summer, 10 sessions in the winter)
• Players will have 5 Winter Futsal sessions prior to their Winter outdoor season. 
• Cost for the program for U15 & Up Winter season: $585
